Unit 6 – (PnT) Theoretical Exam

This unit helps the student to prepare for the exams. The unit ends with taking of the exams.

There are two main exam units, the Online Theoretical Exam and the Pre-Practicum Exam.

Online Theoretical Exam

Online Theoretical Exam is a two-part exam.

  • Part 1 is a written assignment. You will have 5 days to prepare for and submit the assignment.
  • Part 2 is an open book, time sensitive, online exam that covers all work from Introduction to Pneumatherapy through Unit 5. This exam takes about 3 hours to complete.

More information about how to go about receiving your assignment instructions and how to schedule the online exam are dealt with in lessons 1 and 2.

Pre-Practicum Exam

By law, and by IAP regulations, we need to have a solid system in place to make sure that the person who studied the material and passed the exams is the same person who graduates and is licensed. How do we do that?

After you arrive for the Practicum your ID is verified. Your passport will have the same name and date of birth and citizenship than your online student profile.

The next day, you sit for the 30-minute written Pre-Practicum Exam section and participate in the 30-minute oral exam section. The exam covers any of the work you had done to date.

How to prepare for this exam is covered in lesson 3. The short of it is, if you are the person who studied the material and passed the Online Theoretical Exam, you will pass the Pre-Practicum Exam.
